[World War II] Autographs of [3] three U. S. Airmen noted for heroic service in WW II. Lot incoudes signed autograph, Short ANS, Signed First Day cover, all in VG condition. Gay, George, Black felt-tipped signed copyprint phot of pilots in the Navy Torpedo Squadron VT-8 on aircraft carrier deck. Gay was the sole airman from the squadron to survive the Battle of Midway in 1942. Caron, George. Brief ANS, Denver 1980 together with a copy photograph signed in the margin. Caron was tailgunner on the Enola Gay over HIroshima; photo is of that plane. Sweeney, Charles . Signed First Day Cover, 1966. Sweeney was the pilot of Bock's Car, the B-29 bomber that dropped the "Fat Man" atomic weapon at Nagasaki.
