This is a stated sixth edition, "revised and enlarged," of this biography of the second President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bound in green cloth over beveled boards, with stamped gilt lettering to the spine. A decorative emblem with initials appears blind stamped on front and rear cover. The book shows moderate external wear, with uneven discoloration to the covers. The binding is sound. The plates may display light foxing. A small number of pages at the rear of the volume have minor spotting. The pages are otherwise clean and without markings. This work contains a frontispiece portrait of Brigham Young and plates, including additional portraits, a map and plans of the Lion House, a large residence built by Brigham Young, in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1856 to accommodate members of his enormous family.
