Worn with one lettering label lacking, plates with ink library stamps, some surface soiling. Bookplates to front pastedowns ofBirmingham Free Library and John W Cockney. First edition of one of the most beautiful French botanical books of the 18th century, and one of the most important works on pomology. Written in collaboration with the agronomist René le Berryais, Duhamel du Monceau provides necessary and indispensable instructions for the gardeners.
