Photos; George Emmanuel Mylonas was a prominent Greek and Aegean archaeologist. Mylonas' works include: "The Balkan States; An Introduction to Their History" (1946) -- written in response to what he felt were inaccuracies being taught to his son in school; "Mycenae: The Capital City of Agamemnon" (1957) ; "Eleusis and the Eleusinian Mysteries" (1961) ; "Mycenae and the Mycenaean Age" (1966) ; "Grave Circle B of Mycenae" (1972) ; "Mycenae: A Guide to Its Ruins and Its History" (1981) ; and "Mycenae Rich in Gold" (1983). David Moore Robinson (September 21, 1880, in Auburn, New York – January 2, 1958, in Oxford, Mississippi) was an American Classical archaeologist credited with the discovery of the ancient city of Olynthus. Scarce complete set is bound in blue cloth, with stamped gilt lettering on the front covers and the spine of the second volume. There is black lettering on the spine of the first volume. The exteriors show minor bumping to the corners, light fading of the spines, and minor edge wear. The bindings are sound. The pages exhibit light age toning. Each volume contains a frontispiece portrait photograph of Robinson, as well as numerous plates at the back of vol II..
